The developers of Google Ads announced a new intellectual bidding strategy for the Google search – Target Impression Share.
The strategy bids automatically for your ads to display in the first search result, on the top of the page, or another place in the search results. The maximum cost per click in percent, the ad place and the number of impressions are set up by the advertiser.
Google thinks this strategy works for campaigns with brand terms, for example, ads for search queries with branded keywords. To succeed here, you need to set the Target Impression Share to 100%.
Besides, such a strategy is useful for increasing brand awareness, for instance, if you promote local pizza places when there are big federal pizza brands in your competition. You can set up this strategy and be sure your potential customers see your ad.
